17-08-2025 Foto's van de afgelopen dagen en week 5 is nu actief. Dagen vliegen om, de puppen worden nu echte hondjes. Ze hebben scherpe tandjes die ze al op elkaar en Vivi uitproberen. Het is nu zaak dat ze hun bijtrem ontwikkelen. Gelukkig zijn ze niet alleen maar met zijn tweeen, hierdoor leren ze sneller hun beet te controleren. Uit ervaring weten wij dat een Bracco Italiano moederhond veel toelaat, zij speelt vrijwel geen rol in het conrtoleren van de beet. Bijtrem is het vermogen van een hond, vooral een puppy, om de kracht van zijn beet te controleren en vooral te verminderen. Het is een essentieel onderdeel van de socialisatie en opvoeding, waarbij de hond leert niet te hard te bijten, vooral tijdens spel. Sofia en Emilia hebben ook hun eerste geweekte brokjes gehad. Het smaakte ze en we gaan vanaf nu dus 3x per dag geweekte brokjes aanbieden. Het papierwerk van de puppen is ondertussen ook voor mekaar. In week 8 komt een medewerker van de Deense Kennelclub bij ons thuis om de meiden een micro chip te geven en ze te registreren. Heel benieuwd of het gaat zoals in Nederland.


17-08-2025 Photo's from past days and week 5 is now active. Days fly by, the puppies are now becoming real doggies. They have sharp teeth that they are already testing on each other and Vivi. It is now important that they develop their bite inhibition. Fortunately, they are not alone, but together, this way they learn to control their bite more quickly. From experience, we know that a Bracco Italiano mother tolerates a lot; she plays virtually no role in controlling the bite. Bite inhibition is the ability of a dog, especially a puppy, to control and especially reduce the force of its bite. It is an essential part of socialization and training, in which the dog learns not to bite too hard, especially during play. Sofia and Emilia also had their first soaked kibble. They enjoyed it, so from now on we'll be offering soaked kibble three times a day. The puppies' paperwork is also in order. In week 8, a representative from the Danish Kennel Club will come to our home to microchip the girls and register them. I'm very curious to see if it works the same way as in the Netherlands.

11-08-2025 De pups zijn vandaag 21 dagen oud. Het gaat echt goed met ze. Ze komen al in de benen.Wat handig is als ze naar de buitenkanten van de nestkist willen gaan. Ze kunnen al zelfstandig plassen, iets wat ze dan het liefst aan de rand doen van hun nestje. Ze houden het nest graag zo schoon mogelijk. De boventandjes zijn al aan het doorkomen. Je voelt de scherpe tandjes al. De melk van Vivi is super vet, ze komen nog steeds goed aan. We hebben daarom besloten dat we pas vanaf dag 28 gaan beginnen met geweekte brokjes. Normaal zouden wij nu zijn begonnen, maar we stellen het een weekje uit. Foto's volgen.
11-08-2025 The puppies are 21 days old today. They're doing really well. They're already starting to walk, which is handy when they want to go to the edge of their nest. They can already pee independently, which they prefer to do at the edge of their nest. They like to keep the nest as clean as possible. Their upper teeth are already coming through. You can already feel those sharp teeth. Vivi's milk is super rich, and they're still gaining weight well. Therefore, we've decided not to start with soaked kibble until day 28. Normally, we would have started now, but we're postponing it for a week.Foto's will follow
