03-08-2025Toch even de tijd gevonden om een verslagje te schrijven. Twee weken geleden zijn Sofia en Emilia geboren. Ze zijn behoorlijk corpulent... Ze zijn in deze 14 dagen meer dan verdriedubbeld in hun gewicht. De melk van Vivi is blijkbaar voedzaam en overtollig voorradig. Wij gaan ervan uit dat als ze op de benen komen het puppy vet er wel af zal gaan. Het is de eerste twee weken vooral eten slapen plassen en poepen wat de pups doen. Precies op schema, dag 11 gingen hun ogen open en gister leek het dat Emilia haar oren ook open zijn. Sofia loopt hierin ietsje achter want zij reageert nog niet op onze tjirp geluiden. Deze week verwachten wij dat ze zich bewust gaan worden van hun omgeving. Ben benieuwd of ze al en beetje met elkaar gaan spelen. Vivi haar buikwond is keurig genezen. Zij oogt alweer fit, helaas voor haar mag ze nog niet los tijdens het uitlaten. Ze loopt alleen nog aan de lange lijn. Ze heeft tenslotte ook nog een wond in haar baarmoeder. Jaap heeft deze afgelopen 14 dagen naast Vivi en de pups geslapen. Gewoon om haar te ondersteunen en ervoor te zorgen dat ze niet per ongeluk op de puppen ging liggen. Aankomende week zal dit niet meer nodig zijn.

August 3, 2025I finally found the time to write a report. Sofia and Emilia were born two weeks ago. They're quite overweight... They've more than tripled their weight in these 14 days. Vivi's milk is apparently nutritious and in abundance. We assume that once they get on their feet, the puppy fat will come off. For the first two weeks, the puppies are mainly eating, sleeping, peeing, and pooping. Right on schedule, their eyes opened on day 11, and yesterday it seems that Emilia's ears are open as well. Sofia is a bit behind in this regard, as she doesn't yet respond to our chirps.This week, we expect them to become aware of their surroundings. I'm curious to see if they'll start playing together a bit. Vivi's abdominal wound has healed nicely. She seems fit again, but unfortunately for her, she's not allowed off-leash yet. She's only walked on a long leash. After all, she still has a wound in her uterus. Jaap has been sleeping next to Vivi and the puppies for the past two weeks, just to support her and make sure she doesn't accidentally lie on them. This won't be necessary next week.

01-08-2025 Ja, we hebben nieuwe foto's, maar schrijf inspiratie is er nog steeds niet. Het is gewoon druk met alles en dan is het beter om bij de puppen te zitten dan achter de computer.
